The Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch is an award winning luxury ranch between Saratoga and Laramie in Wyoming. Voted Number 2 Hotel & Resort in the World, Number 1 Resort in the USA and Number 1 Dude Ranch in the USA by Conde Nast Traveler the ranch more than lives up to its reputation.

The Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch is an all inclusive boutique resort in the North Platte River Valley and backing on to the Medicine Bow National Forest. It was created with the idea of being able to provide every creature comfort in a relaxed and beautiful environment. It is a wonderful place to stay whether you are a couple or a big family group perhaps celebrating a special birthday, wedding or anniversary. There is the 38,000-square foot Trailhead lodge as well as the dining room and you will find several fireplaces, a premium wine cellar and the lodge bedrooms. Close by, you will find the Saloon Bar where you can have a go at billiards, play a hand or two of poker, or to kick up your heels to your favourite tunes on the jukebox. Next to the Saloon Bar (and it must be stressed that the Brush Creek Ranch is all inclusive so you will not be paying for your drinks) is where the children will be able to entertain themselves with its amazing choice of dodge ball, basketball, volleyball, tetherball, Big Buck Hunter, football & basketball arcade games, air hockey, and a rock climbing wall.

At Brush Creek, inclusive really does mean inclusive. With the exception of spa treatments, you will not have to put your hand in your pocket once during your stay. There is a minimum 3 night stay (not enough!)  except in the high season summer months when you have to stay at least 4 nights with your arrival on a Sunday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

Food is very important at Brush Creek and there are several ways to enjoy it. Chef Drew Anderson says “My culinary vision is quite simple, “I want to stay true to the ingredients. I want our guests to experience as much of the local food from the Mountain West region as possible and for those ingredients to be fresh, seasonal and cooked perfectly. In the end I want our food to be approachable and at the same time, I want to give our guests the opportunity to try something they wouldn’t otherwise try at home.”  You can dine quite formally (if a ranch can ever be really formal) in the Trailhead Lodge or more casually in the Chuckwagon or Saloon. For some of our guests the Creekside Dinner Camp is the most memorable being a mix of al fresco and fine dining.

Brush Creek Ranch offers an unbeatable array of adventures; all are tailored to your level of experience, can be tailored from complete novice to expert, and are led by an expert guide. Included is fly-fishing on miles of Brush Creek that travels directly through the ranch and has some of the best freestone trout fishing in the world plus several secluded fishing ponds perfect for beginners; guided hiking and superb biking trails; woodland high-ropes and zip-lining; mountain-side team paint balling for all the family; horseback riding on beautiful quarter horses and paints with experienced wranglers; as well the gun 10-station sporting clays course, 5-station skeet course and competition archery. You are also welcome to try activities off-menu, like adventurous horseback riding programmes from rodeo barrel racing and cattle round-ups, premium fly fishing on the North Platte on their new 15,000 acre Sanger Ranch, the autumn brings pheasant, grouse and partridge shooting (from August onwards).

Children are brilliantly looked after: the Lil' Wrangler programme caters for 4-8 year olds includes kid-friendly dude ranch activities such as trail adventures, ecological exploration, riding led by professional and highly qualified counsellors and guides. Older children can join in the adult activities or have some especially tailored to their needs.

The Trailhead Spa is meant to renew your sense of well-being and provide total a total relaxation and wellness experience to complement your stay at the Ranch. Incorporating traditions of the American West and indigenous ingredients, every spa experience is uniquely Western and tailored specifically to your needs and preferences. A full range of massage, skin and salon services are available for an extra charge. The saunas and steam rooms, an outdoor hot tub, and state-of-the-art fitness centre are included in your stay as is the yoga programme offering you the chance to practice outdoors with majestic views of the Sierra Madre mountains serving as a relaxing backdrop.

The Rooms

There are 13 rooms in the Trailhead Lodge. These have either one king or two double beds. Although not huge (288 sq feet) they are beautifully decorated in the Western style with private bathrooms, robes, wifi and glorious views across to the mountains.

The Cabin Suites - are authentic Wyoming log cabins, painstakingly restored and lovingly outfitted with luxurious amenities. Again, not large at 300 or so square feet, they are full of character and offer a level of comfort that the original inhabitants could not have dreamt of.

Cabin Residences - Ten magnificent Wyoming log cabins dot the landscape at Brush Creek Ranch, and from the outside appear much as they would have when the ranch was founded in the late 19th century. Inside, however, the recently refurbished cabins feature every modern amenity you could wish for, along with an array of luxurious accents. From sumptuous king beds with luxury bedding to fully-equipped kitchens and dining rooms, the cabins contain everything needed for a comfortable stay. Perfect for families, these cabins have two or three bedrooms and vary in size from 1100 - 1800 sq. ft. All of the outlying cabins come with the use of an open air recreational vehicle.

High Mountain Yurt "Glamping" Luxury Tent Adventure

For one night only during your stay, we can arrange for you to stay in a luxurious high mountain yurt with your own wrangler and outdoor guide to make sure that your every need is taken care of. (NB - this does carry an extra charge).
Magee Homestead is a private lodge plus a collection of restored cabins about 5 miles from the main Lodge in a tranquil, creek-side setting tucked amidst rolling meadowlands and natural rock outcroppings, this would be perfect for a group of up to 24 guests offering an ideal secluded hideaway for families or a wedding party. Privacy plus all the facilities of the main ranch - perfect!
