Los Angeles Beaches

Greater Los Angeles is so vast that it incorporates over 50 miles of beaches along which have grown up some distinctive towns and cities.

Malibu is at the northern end: The Lee Carrillo State Park mile long beach is dotted with sea caves and tidepools. It also boasts Surfrider Beach; whether you are a spectator or a surfer you are sure to enjoy the sights and sounds. Coming along the coast the first major city you come to is Santa Monica with its broad sandy beaches and then Venice Beach which is a great spot for people watching.
