Carter House Inns is an enclave of five unique hotels in the heart of Eureka, California close to the Humbdoldt Bay.

Originally built in the 1980s, the Carter House is a stunning historic building that reflects the history of this unique hotel. You can enjoy local cuisine at the prestigious Restaurant 301, or relaxing with an indulgent spa treatment.


Decedent rooms split across five uniquely quaint hotels offer complimentary Wi-Fi and laundry services upon request. Each room comes with a flat screen TV, complete with DVD player.  

Hotel Carter – With a choice of rooms on offer, these suite-like rooms offer large, king-sized beds with private bathrooms that offer either jetted tubs or whirlpool tubs. Fireplaces are available in select rooms.

Carter House – The oldest of the hotels offers luxury suites with large canopied king size beds, and a romantic wood-burning fireplace in the master bedroom.

Carter Cottage – The Carter Cottage is a stand-alone cottage that features two fireplaces as well as individual living and dining rooms. Enjoy the marina view from your private back deck.

Bell Cottage – The three suites in this cottage feature fully equipped kitchens, marble fireplaces and deep soaking tubs. Turndown service is also available.

Anne’s House – This charming stand-alone cottage offers one queen bed, fireplaces, full kitchen, whirlpool jet tub and separate living and dining areas.
