Desert Rose Inn

Bluff, Utah

Our Rating

Just 40 minutes from the stunning Monument Valley and Valley of the Gods, the Desert Rose Inn & suites is a comfortable family run hotel with stunning views of the surrounding red rocks which come alive at sunset. It is probably the best hotel in the area with its timber-framed lodge building housing the bedrooms  which showcase the local area featuring as they do splendid log-frame beds and local furnishings.

To get the best experience from the Monument Valley Tribal Park, it is important to ask Frontier America to organise a local Navajo guide as otherwise you will not be able to get into the heart of the Park. We would particularly recommend the Sunrise or Sunset Tour for the best colours and to avoid the heat of the day. We can also arrange a hot air balloon flight, horse riding a photography tour or an escorted hike. This hotel is not far from The Mokee (or Moki) Dugway which is a staggering, graded dirt switchback road carved into the face of the cliff edge of Cedar Mesa. It consists of 3 miles of steep, unpaved, but well graded switchbacks, which wind 1,200 feet from Cedar Mesa to the valley floor near Valley of the Gods.
