The Stanford Inn by the Sea is an eco-friendly resort that sits atop a beautiful meadow overlooking the Mendocino Bay, a breathtaking example of Northern California’s rugged coastline.

Sitting at the mouth of the Big River, The Stanford Inn by the Sea offers guests a chance to escape and to get in touch with nature. Enjoy delicious, authentic vegan cuisine at the award winning Ravens Restaurant with dishes including ingredients grown on site Stanford’s Organic Gardens. Enjoy relaxing spa treatments at the Mendocino Centre for Living Well or take in some of the local scenery with a rented canoe or bike.

Rooms

Each room offers a wood burning fireplace, HDTV and microwave ovens. To fit with the resort’s green policy, eco-friendly bathroom amenities and fair trade coffee are available in each room. Free mountain bike rental is also available to all guests. Complimentary organic breakfast is also included.

Big River Rooms – Distinctively decorated rooms offering a range of views over the Mendocino Bay, Pacific Ocean and Big River. These rooms can accommodate anywhere between 2-5 people with King, Queen and Day beds available.

Suites – These large suites can accommodate between 2-8 (single person occupancy also available) with a range of King, Queen and Sofa beds on offer. Each suite comes with a wood burning stove, fireplace and private deck.
